Animal Identification

SMARTRAC offers diverse solutions for animal identification depending on the field of application and the size of the animal. The flexible and reliable tansponders comprise advanced security features and comply with government regulations as well as the international ISO standards 11784 and 11785.

The product range for animal identification includes glass transponders for pets, zoo animals, fish and smaller farm animals such as goats. Consisting of biocompatible glass, SMARTRAC glass tags are available in a variety of versions sizes and can also be embedded into a ceramic shell for bolus application.

SMARTRAC Coil & Chip for ear tags is a convenient, reliable and cost effective solution for livestock identification. The products are available in different diameters and with various integrated circuits employing both full duplex (FDX) and half-duplex (HDX) technologies optimized for electronic livestock identification.

Our relationship with Phase IV was born when a customer of Earlsmeres' wanted a solution to passively and discreetly monitor the usage of machinery without interrupting the power source and in a way that was retrofit able and could be interrogated for data without being removed or connected to.

The unique technology enables quick, accurate wire-free and embedded sensing measurements by methods previously not possible—and in places you can't reach.
